The new cogeneration plant in Deven was officially opened

On September 12, the new cogeneration plant – the second circulating fluidized bed boiler in Deven TPP – was officially opened. The event coincided with the 20th anniversary of the acquisition by Solvay of the plant in Devnya. Professor Eng. Mihail Tzankov – Manager of Ircon Ltd. was also invited. This complex engineering task was leaded by AMEC Foster Wheeler Energia Polska. Ircon Ltd. together with Energoprojekt Katowice SA are the structural engineer of the boiler, while the structural design of the fabric filter installation is entirely done by Ircon Ltd. The new boiler is built on extremely modern technology, covering the highest international and European environmental standards. This is the second such facility that will work in the plant.
