The construction of the 10-storey external staircase of Pirogov Hospital has recently been completed

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the “Pirogov Hospital” in Sofia. This is the Emergency Medical Care Center treating thousands of Sofia residents and Bulgarians every month.

We are happy to share that the construction of the 10-storey external staircase designed for evacuation of people from High Block of the Hospital in case of fire, has recently been completed. The facility is engineered and designed by Ircon Ltd. and constructed by “Pirogov Consortium 2019”.

The steel structure is fabricated and erected by the company “Horizont-Ivanov” Ltd. from Pleven. The structural design is in accordance with Eurocode and best practices for CAD-BIM design and CAD-CAM fabrication. We at Ircon Ltd. are proud to have designed a challenging and elegant steel structure, part of the new vision of the building.
