Completion of detail design phase – New Zinc Electrolysis and New Lead Refinery KCM

For the last 2 years we are working for our strategic client – the Non-Ferrous Metals Plant (KCM) in Plovdiv, Bulgaria for their large-scale project “Technological Integration of KCM AD” (TIK). This month we are happy to announce that we have completed Detail Design phase of two major parts of the project – New Zinc Electrolysis and New Lead Refinery.

We have long history of partnership with KCM, but we are happy that for this project our client chose us in the very early stages of as consultant and reviewing company of the Basic Engineering Design done by the Finnish company Metso-Outotec for the New Zinc Electrolysis project.

In 2021 we were nominated as Chief Designer for New Zinc Plant and New Refinery for the Detail Design phase. Both projects were designed in parallel from our team and in constant coordination with separate Owners Engineering Teams from KCM. During the Detail design phase numerous improvements were implemented and issues solved to achieve more effective and economical solution. We believe that due to our team efforts both projects have been driven to a successful end.
